Our speakers
David D. LeeDavid D. Lee is Lead Pastor of Ekklesia Atlanta Christian Fellowship. An Atlanta native born to Korean immigrants, David graduated from The University of Texas, where he studied English and psychology, and Covenant Seminary, where he received Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. David has served churches in St. Louis and Atlanta and focuses on preaching/teaching, counseling/discipleship, leadership development, and outreach. He and his wife Sonia have two children, Sophia and Derek, and also have David's parents in their household (and a dog Polo along with a bunny Marco).

Roger LinI am an Asian American psychologist that is able to navigate the reality of majority-minority contexts and relationships. I have a deep respect for those who are different from me. I enjoy entering into the life and culture of the client and working with him/her towards health and wholeness.
We live in a world that can get messy at times. Counseling provides a place for refuge, redirecting, healing, and growth. I am committed to breathing hope into experiences of brokenness. My goal is to provide a safe place for the client to be honest, understood, and listened to well. I help process through experiences of depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, loss, relational problems, and life transitions. My hope is for genuine fullness in mind, body, and heart that overflows in life. |
Esther liuEsther graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary with a M.A.R. in Biblical Studies and a M.A. in Counseling. She holds two B.A. degrees in Political Science and Chinese, with a minor in Psychology. Esther has been involved with campus ministry and youth group ministry in the past, and has also completed counseling internships with Philadelphia Renewal Network (PRN) and CCEF. In addition to serving as a counselor, Esther also works as the executive assistant and faculty administrator at CCEF. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, music, and being outside in nature.

WHAT WILL THE workshops look like?
Each person will be given an opportunity to work on the basic skills of counseling in triad format.
(A triad is a group of three people.)
You will be asked to take the following roles:

COUNSELEEShare a problem or an issue with the counselor.

COUNSELORActively listen to the counselee.

OBSERVERObserve the counselor/counselee interactions and prepare to share your
observations. |
Because the nature of this format is very personal, we encourage churches to sign their members up in
triads. If you are not registering through a church, you do have the following options.

The FirstRegister as an individual and opt to be placed in a triad.

The SecondRegister with two other friends.

The ThirdRegister as an individual and opt out of the triad part of the workshop (Workshops will often have speakers addressing certain mental health/counseling issues.).
