From the Pastor's Keyboard
If our Missions Statement is the star to which our ship sails and our Vision Statement is the type of ship we wish to build then our Core Values is the culture that we build on this journey. These are principles and perspectives that we value and are passionate to see grow in our church.
1. Scripture is Our Final Authority
God's Word is essential to bring conviction, repentance, grace, and growth in our relationships with God and the people in CCPC.
2. Our Worship is God-Centered.
Our times of worship are not meant to exalt humanity, but the Triune God (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit). We eagerly desire to encounter God in our Sunday services, prayer meetings, and times of praise.
3. Our Relationships are God-Centered.
We believe that every human relationship truly flourishes when they are centered on God. We believe that that these relationships take not only time, but honesty and sincerity, a humble and listening ear that we may bear the light of the gospel to every corner of our hearts.
4. We Value People over Production.
While we care that our organization and communication are effective, we do not chase perfection at the expense of loving people. Relationships are messy and in the world's eye often unproductive. However, we believe this is where God wants us to be.
5. We seek to love our Community
God calls us not only to love our Church, but to love the community around us, including family, workplace, schools, and neighborhoods.
6. We seek to be a part of the Global Church
CCPC is only one of many Gospel-centered churches. We partner with other local churches and churches abroad that we may share in God's plan to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth.
